MONSTER BASS GATHERING AT CU-BOULDER WITH PAUL ERHARD, MAY 22nd, 10 AM-2 PM, The May 22 reading session is open to all double bass players, so please spread the word.  There will be a $5 charge to cover pizza and drinks.  I just request that you RSVP to me at paul.erhard@colorado.edu whether or not you are able to join us.

Just a reminder that the deadline for enrollment for
Rocky Mountain Cello Fest is near.  

This is a great event--with lots of fun cello playing, good teaching, and wonderful sounds.   Please encourage all of yours to participate.   

This year local teachers are myself, Kitty Knight, Heather Plattenburger.   David Littrell from Kansas State, and Blake Brasch from Music Institute of Chicago will be joining us as well as former Denver person, Julie Carew.    Richard Slavich and Jennifer Arnold are on leave this year.   
 
It is July 25-29th at the University of Denver Newmann Center.

IMUS 5608, Summer Alexander Technique Intensive (16th Annual)
Registration will occur at the first course session
Tuition: $350.00
One graduate credit (through Continuing Education)
July 19-23, 9-noon, Imig Music Building at CU Boulder
Instructors: James Brody (coordinator), Carol Boggs, Ed Bilanchone

The Alexander Technique is a powerful tool for changing habits in movement
and thinking. While anyone can benefit from this Technique, the work applies
especially well to musicians and educators. Participants will learn about
generalized and specific body use issues that can affect both performance and
educational settings, as well as practical skills for the classroom. The results of a
medical study in England that investigated the Alexander Technique were
recently published in the British Medical Journal. A link to a summary of the
