| Assistant Professor of Music Education, Dr.
Berg received her BS from Case Western Reserve University, BM in violin from
the Cleveland Institute of Music, MEd from the University of Cincinnati,
and PhD from Northwestern University. Previously, she was on the faculty
of Ball State University, served as conductor of the East Central String
Sinfonietta, and also was a member of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra. She
has taught at DePaul University, Northwestern University, and in the
Cincinnati Public Schools. Dr. Berg is an active orchestra festival
conductor and state and national conference clinician. Her research
interests include the social psychology of music education, string
pedagogy, and teacher education. Dr. Berg has published articles in the Journal
of Music Teacher Education, Music Educators Journal, American
String Teacher, and Chamber Music America Education Newsletter,
and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of String
Research.
