Your presence makes a difference! Bring your instrument and get ready for a Great time at Cherry Creek H.S. Vote Today! All our candidates are all dedicated leaders and they require your support. There are many decisions within our CASTA Chapter that require your leadership, support and input. Enjoy reading the bios, credentials, and “platform” ideas. Our new leadership we provide energy, time, shared resources, and with your ideas, skills, and support a more powerful and supportive presence. Utilize your representatives, board members, national and other members! Please Vote!

We cater to our members, listening to your ideas for summer sessions! You have a voice and your opinion makes a difference! Together, Don Emmons and I planned a powerful conference, to provide for all studio and public school needs! Guest clinician Mimi Butler (from New Jersey) is simply extraordinary. She attends, presents all over the world and is extremely active in ASTA! We met at National conference in Kansas City and truly, you won’t want to miss her! Do what you love and make money doing it! Mimi is Memorable! There are many other great sessions, including a few surprises to provide you a wonderful experience. Great exhibits, new music, tried & true reading sessions, (bring your instrument), audition roundtable sessions, and credit from CSU too! Thanks to Ken Anderson! Barb Risner promises to host another fabulous party after Thursday’s sessions! Everyone is invited!!

Thanks to your support, I have proudly attended every National ASTA conference (except Reno) meeting prominent string teachers from throughout the United States. Everyone I meet is happily available for presenting at CMEA or our summer CASTA conference. Networking possibilities are limitless and colleagues from across the United States are looking for Colorado opportunities. The Rocky Mountain’s are magnetic and Colorado is on everyone’s radar. Support our chapter – you have awesome programs and your assignment and priority in CASTA is to share your insights, ideas, programs, articles, and pictures (send directly to Linda Johnson, our webmaster), and especially now… proposals and performance C.D.’s for CMEA! Deadline for performance at CMEA is due the end of May. Please check the CMEA website for registration forms and proposals.

Thank you CASTA board members, membership, board members, CMEA, and National ASTA for your continued support and visibility in pursuit of ASTA Music education. I am continually amazed at the creative efforts of Colorado's exemplary leadership and presence throughout the country. Please take advantage of the varied and numerous opportunities advocacy and recognition via our national and local website. 2007 American String Teachers Association National Conference at the Renaissance Marriott in Detroit was incredible! Plan ahead for Albuquerque 2008!! Check the website for updates! Colorado is beautiful and our membership shines! See you July 19th!
