Job Title: Executive Director, Part-Time Position

Organization: Youth Orchestra of the Rockies

Organization Description: Through the study and performance of orchestral music, the Youth Orchestra of the Rockies seeks to challenge and nurture young musicians to strive for excellence, to explore their role in humanity, and to contribute beauty to the community. Founded in 1995, the Youth Orchestra of the Rockies is a year-round non-profit organization with an annual budget of approximately $100,000. YOR performs six concerts per year. YOR is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, a community of approximately 135,000, with a part-time professional orchestra and a state university. YOR membership draws from northern Colorado and southern Wyoming communities within a 70-mile radius.

Duties and Responsibilities: Day to day management of all youth orchestra activities, including, but not limited to administration, marketing, fundraising, concert production, financial management. The Executive Director collaborates with the
Board and the Music Director to develop, implement, and promote our artistic and educational mission in the community; supervises other staff.

Requirements: Excellent management, marketing and fund raising skills required. Background in arts management preferred. Expertise in Microsoft Office required; InDesign a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills needed. Must be able to work from home.

Compensation: $19,500

Benefits: Vacation leave; work from home
